The Port of Ijmuiden is the shipping gateway to Amsterdam. Every ship sailing to Amsterdam has to pass the sluices in Ijmuiden making it a great destination to watch the many ships. Also large cruise ships have to pass the sluices and therefore the worlds largest sea sluice has been opened in 2022 wich was quite an engineering feat.
